Burraco is a captivating card game distinguished by its strategic depth. Known internationally under various names, it enjoys considerable popularity in Brazil and Italy.

The game's primary objective is to accumulate points by forming melds, which can take the form of sequences or sets. Burraco utilizes two standard 52-card decks along with four jokers, resulting in a total of 108 cards. The jokers and eights serve as wildcards, which can substitute any card within a meld, although only one wildcard is permitted per meld.

Typically played by two to four participants, players sit across from their teammates. A meld requires at least three cards and can consist of either sets of equal cards or sequences of consecutive cards within a single suit. Players have the ability to extend their team's existing melds. While a player may have only one group of each rank, multiple sequence melds can exist within the same suit for one team, though once revealed, these sequences cannot be merged or divided.

Notably, a sequence comprising seven or more cards is termed a Burraco, earning the player additional points and fulfilling the requirement to exit the game. Clean Burracos—melds devoid of wildcards—carry greater value than dirty Burracos, which contain wildcards. It is possible to transform a clean Burraco into a dirty one by adding a wildcard, a tactical move that may reduce its point value but might be necessary to clear one's hand.

The player who successfully discards their final card from their hand has the privilege of drawing the first pozzetto of 11 cards to build a new hand. Should an opposing player close the deal while others still have cards in hand, their point value will be deducted from the overall score based on established rules. It encourages players to devise strategic approaches to overcome their opponents.

Burraco provides an immersive experience that appeals to card enthusiasts and casual players alike. With options for training against advanced AI players offline and competing online with teams worldwide, it offers both challenge and entertainment. The game allows for modes accommodating two to four players and features a 'Play with Friends' option for more personalized engagement.
